We say NO to new Bronson Road Apartments

Donation protected
We are the Lower Bronson Neighborhood Alliance.

The almost 3 acre parcel of land at 140 Bronson Road (and now 92 Bronson) have been secured by Garden Homes Management Corporation, with intent to build a 95-unit, 4 story rental apartment with 116 parking spaces, on the former horse property. The old home, hand built barns, and horse paddocks... will all be demolished.

The property itself is bordered by significant wetlands, Mill River and Metro North Railroad tracks. These rental apartments mean more traffic to an already congested area with little to no sidewalks, no bike path, on a town emergency route and access to the I-95 North entrance ramp.

With the amount of near miss accidents which happen everyday in the area of this entrance ramp, adding more cars trying to go in and out of the proposed new road will surely cause severe congestion and accidents.  If this passes and breaks the rules that need to be bent for it to happen, those rules will forever be changed.  That means, more high density residential all through Fairfield and Southport, all over... Wherever a large enough plot of land can be purchased and a tall building built.  It's just a matter of time before the town is covered in these buildings and the charm and character of the area is lost. The density of this project does not fit the area, nor does the design.

Now we need your help. To fight this project at the TPZ hearing, we need to pay for legal counsel and experts to review the project for us.

Please help, any donation is appreciated, no matter the amount. Every dollar counts!  Thank You for standing with us.
