Stephanie Snow Memorial Fund

$16,148 of $75,000 goal

Raised by 155 people in 5 months
Our daughter and sister, Stephanie Snow, passed away on January 2nd, 2018 at the age of twenty-six after a long battle with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).  Through Stephanie’s courage and grace she was able to spread awareness, raise funds and be a part of the research efforts which continues the work to find a cure for her devastating condition.

However, FOP is a medical condition that Stephanie had but FOP is not what defined who Stephanie was…

Stephanie’s number one passion in life was the welfare and care of animals.  She began early in life with raising rabbits and sheep through 4-H programs.  As her disability progressed, she found new ways to continue her love of caring for animals through hand-raising abandoned newborn kittens and fostering animals in need.

Now is the time to honor Stephanie’s passion.

This GoFundMe is to carry on Stephanie’s legacy through a memorial fund that will support the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society.   It has been identified that the purchase of a Digital HD Radiology System is an unmet need.  The X-ray equipment would be located at SMV Humane Society but have the ability to benefit sick/injured pets at both Santa Barbara County Animal Services and the SMV Humane Society (neither facility has an X-ray machine).  This radiology suite would be named in Stephanie’s honor.

This is something that would continue to give great meaning to Stephanie’s legacy, and a way to give back to a community that has given so much to Stephanie and our entire family.

Thank you for your consideration of this gift.

Hi – This is Bob and Jen Snow.
It is difficult to find the words to express how grateful we are for the love and support shown to us since Stephanie’s passing. Your cards, kind words, special gifts, hugs, time, donations and presence at Stephanie’s memorial service has helped us to find strength in the blessings of her amazing life.
Although we are heartbroken, we find peace in knowing that Stephanie left a legacy so that future generations may have HOPE.
And with your help, she lived her life by her motto “HOPE IS ALIVE”
Our heartfelt gratitude for your gift of compassion to Stephanie, her memory and our family,

This is Bob and Jen Snow (Stephanie’s parents). Neither of us have a Facebook, but Stephanie’s sister, Ashley, has graciously allowed our wishes and words (also shared by Ashley and Dylan) to be sent to you through Ashley’s social media account, which we will continue to do.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for each of you. Your thoughts, condolences and donations to Stephanie’s Memorial Fund Campaign are heartfelt. The fact that Stephanie’s spirit has touched so many in such meaningful ways is humbling.
It also touches us deeply to know that each dollar that has been donated to this memorial has been given from the heart – just like the many years of grass root efforts of fundraising on behalf of Stephanie for FOP research.
Our family is committed to this last gift to honor Stephanie. Our gratitude for your help with this goal.
