Eric Overlock Memorial Skatepark
The park has served us well as a state of the art park for its time; but like all of the wood framed ramps in Maine, their time is limited out in the elements. Here is our short term plan. It is time to repair the park to make it safe by replacing broken framing members, replacing rotten subsheathing, and replacing broken fasteners. We have been given a 4 foot high by 24 foot wide halfpipe that would fit perfectly in place of the now gone vertical halfpipe. This ramp is user friendly for all ability levels and would be a great addition. We need to raise money for the materials for the repairs. The donated halfpipe needs new surfacing, (Skatelite), safety rails, and a set of stairs. We are estimating the material costs to be 5 or 6 thousand dollars. We need to start raising money now in order to get the park ready for summer!
Thank you so much for your donation to this great cause.

Can you guys please fix the vert ramp instead of making a mini ramp? There's not many vert ramps left on the country, and having one is definitely a landmark!! I reside in NH, but if you keep it I will donate to the park and even help to fix just that vert ramp!
Is this the Joanne Parent that went to Belfast Area High around 1985 and participated in the musicals and other drama at the school? If so, HELLO!! It's been a long time! I would love to catch up with you!
A street skating course would be helpful in the park, so many kids that skate now are street skaters and don't use the park because of the lack of usable elements for their kind of skating.
Thank you so much for your generous donations!!!
