Alexis’ Scoliosis Funds

I’m Alexis Richards, I’m 16 years old, and I was diagnosed with scoliosis when i was around 9 years old. I eventually was given a night brace when i was 12-13 years old. I then grew out of the brace (very quickly) was unable to wear it anymore. Which was not good to hear, because it was around $2k. That was 3 years ago, and as of now my family is in a very tough situation, and is extremely tight on money. I currently live with my dad, and finding the money for my surgery is there hard to do. The appointments are expensive alone; So, these funds will first go towards my base funds for the appointments, check ups, and x-rays, then further leading to my surgery.But, at the moment we can’t afford it. My spine has 2 curves: the top one is 50°, and the bottom one is 56°. Generally, you’d get scoliosis spinal fusion surgery when the curve is over 45°, depending on the pain levels. I have been told i need it, and I am trying to reach my fund value before the summer of 2020. I am also on my high school dance team, and have been dancing for 13 years. Getting help as soon as possible is at the top of my list, so I have higher chances of still being able to do the thing I love the most with my team. But, it puts me in much pain, and I’m trying to raise the money to help me, with my back, and my family with all the medical expenses.
