Baby Mina

As all of you know my son Mina was shot in Jersey City on December 26th 2015 at 2:30pm, in broad daylight. He was just released from the hospital on the 28th and will make a full recovery. Everyone in the family is grateful that he will be alright physically but, the scars will always be there in our minds, memories and on his precious face. I was forced to quit my second job as a food delivery person out of fear for my safety. My kids and family need me in their life and they don’t deserve a phone call saying that something tragic happened to me.  As for my day job, I have to take a leave of absence to care for my son because he needs me there and so does my wife. I am reaching out to my friends, family and the public because even though Jersey City is my home, I must regretfully move for the safety and well-being of my family. They are the most important thing in my life and I just thank God every day that he walked away from this when many victims of gun violence do not. I want my son to grow up in a safe place where we will not have to worry about something like this ever happening again. I don’t want either one of my children to walk around and go to school in fear, they deserve better than that. All children do. What happened that day was the worst day of my life and I pray this doesn’t happen to another child in this city. I am asking for donations for moving expenses so me and my family can move out of Jersey City, and to cover differences of medical expenses and experience a better life without worry. I would also like to fix my car, so I may drive my kids to and from school with a car that has no bullet holes in it. I am asking as a father and a human being.
