Melton House Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
In the early morning of February 1, 2019 tragedy struck. A house fire started in the home of elderly couple Carl and Maxine Melton of Asheville, NC. The fire raged out of control. By the time the Fire Department arrived, unfortunately it was too late. Along with their home, their beloved son Stafford Melton who was staying in the home to provide care, had perished in the fire. The elderly couple managed to escape the flames with just the clothes on their backs. They were taken to nearby Mission Hospital and are expected to make a full physical recovery. The Melton’s have endured horrific losses and we are asking for your help. Though no amount of monetary or physical items will bring back their beloved Son, it will hopefully alleviate some of the stresses of losing their home and all of their belongings. Monetary donations can be made here, and any clothing, non-perishable food items, blankets, bedding or daily living donations can be sent to their church at the following address:Chapel Hill Baptist Church 9 Chapel Hill Church Rd Asheville, NC 28803Attn: Melton House Fire Recovery Fund. Let us make this new beginning as easy as possible for the Melton Family while they deal with the loss of their Son and home. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your valuable time and generosity.
