Morrígan’s Vet Treatment

Donation protected
Yesterday evening, our dog Morrígan lay down on the grass and didn’t get up again. After a trip to our local vets for pain relief and a referral to UCD Veterinary Hospital, we were given the news that for Morrigan to walk again and have any sort of quality of life that she would need massive spinal surgery.

UCD gave us an estimate of €5000 for this.

Morrígan was adopted from the ISPCA in November 2014. Ever since then she’s been the centre of our universe. Unfortunately, when we brought her to be neutered she was also diagnosed with a heart murmur, which at the time caused all plans of getting pet insurance out the window. I’m not a person who finds it easy to ask for help, but the one thing that stands between Morrígan getting treatment and walking again is money. Money that we unfortunately do not have. If she were old, or seriously ill, it would be easier to make the hard decision; to say that she had a good, long life. But she’s young, and up til a day ago she was healthy and happy. And if money is the only thing standing in the way of her being like that again, I would be failing her if I didn’t at least try. Thank you, Nicki & Brian
