My mission Statement
I want to tell everybody how excited I am about certified service dogs (CSD) and how they can help you overcome many of life's challenges. A CSD can help you in overcoming and managing health issues. A CSD can help you in overcoming sadness and bring you joy. A CSD can help you in overcoming inadequacy allowing you to be in service to others.
My excitement builds from witnessing companion dog therapy. Companion dog therapy is well known to me because I witness the healing benefits provided to my wife in her second cancer survival struggle. Without Nick and Riley giving undivided attention to my wife her struggle to survive would have been much more difficult.
I am a disabled veteran who is the recipient of a Service Dog in Training provided by Soldier On Service Dogs at no training cost to me. Service dog training cost is approximately $25,000. My direct expenses for handler training and service dog up keep will range between $3k to $5k per year.
In several weeks, I will be introduced to my service dog. Together we will train and graduate from a service dog in a training school, and my dog will become a Certified Service Dog. Time is approximately one year.
During our training time, we will also be building a presentation program about service dog benefits to present to service organizations and civic groups. And, to build a fee-based motivation public speaking program based on service dogs. Our story will be the story of my dog and me and how we graduated from training school and the benefits and motivation my service dog provides.
Your consideration for a donation is appreciated. I must be able to feed, house and cover veterinary expenses for my dog and to cover my training expenses.
