Sherwood Wiffle Ball World Series 6

$3,090 of $3,200 goal

Raised by 39 people in 14 months
For the sixth time, The Sherwood Wiffle Ball World Series is back again! Over the past five years we have seen this tournament rise to heights we never could have imagined, and the tournament is truly something we look forward to all year long. The way that the Bexley community has embraced us has been amazing and we are truly thankful for the wonderful support we've had.

As you may know, we have a partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and we were able to raise $3003 last year for this great cause. Make-A-Wish does tremendous work, and we feel so lucky to be able to help children in need.

Even as the tournament has evolved, our goal every year has soley been to find a way to improve the WBWS. In past years that goal has led us to expand the tournament's size, build a giant scoreboard, improve community involvement and more.

However, this year our main objective is to raise more money for Make-A-Wish than ever before. We are a charity tournament above all, and we are constantly looking to find more ways to help those in need.

All donations to this page will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and will ultimately help children in need reach their dreams.

The power of crowdfunding has been absolutely integral to the development of this tournament, and we can't thank our prior donators enough for what they've done to help us make an impact in our community. We hope that you all will consider donating again, and help us continue what has become an amazing Bexley tradition.

Thank you for your consideration in helping us impact the lives of children in need for the better.

Thank you all for the tremendous support! I was just sent a story by the great people at Make-A-Wish about one of the kids that this funding will help, and I thought I would pass it on. Jace is a 12 year old from Sunbury who has Cystic Fibrosis. His wish is to go watch the Chicago Cubs play, and he will be going two weeks after the WBWS:

"Jace loves to watch and play baseball. His hobby is building with legos. Jace also enjoys listening to Rock n Roll, roller skating, and playing sports with his family.
Jace is battling Cystic Fibrosis- a genetic disorder that particularly affects the lungs and digestive system. Cystic Fibrosis does not stop Jace from being like any 12 year old. He continues to stay active by running around outside and playing baseball. This past season he played 2nd base for his team!
When asked what he wanted his wish to be, Jace immediately said that he would love to meet the Cubs. Jace also said that he was rooting for them in the World Series, and his favorite players are on the team.
Jace is looking forward to hopefully meeting some of his favorite players, and getting to hang out in the dugout during a game! He is also excited that his family will be on the trip with him.
The wish experience provides wish kids something to look forward to during a time when a distraction is truly needed. Jace and his family are looking forward to the hope, strength and joy that come with experiencing the power of a wish.
Thank you for making wishes like Jace’s come true!"

The funds that this tournament raises really do affect children's lives, and every dollar counts. Thank you all so much!
