Children Of Nepal

Donation protected
Hi guys! As most of you know, I am going travelling at the end of next month. I have enrolled into a scheme with Plan My Gap Year where I will be spending 4 weeks volunteering in Nepal. While volunteering I will be living in a home stay with a local family. I will be teaching English (and potentially other subjects such as Maths and Science) to children in the poorer areas of Nepal. ALL donations will be spent solely on the children on school essentials such as pens, text books, flashcards etc. Any remaining donations will be spent on fun activities for the children and extra goodies for them. I had the option to either start a fundraiser through Plan My Gap Year where all donations go to the Nepal project in general or start my own fundraiser where the proceeds can be spent on a more personal basis for specific necessities of the children. Nepal is considered as one of the poorest countries in the world as 25% of the population are living below the poverty line, getting by on just 50 US cents per day. Poverty in Nepal contributes to high child mortality rates. In 2016, for every 1,000 children born in Nepal, 35 died before their fifth birthday. This can be attributed to lack of health care and education access in impoverished regions, and there are many such regions in Nepal. So please, help me to help them. I will provide pictures on social media as and when I can to show you how your donations have helped them. Thank you☺️
