Help A Single Dad Pay Student Loans

I put a silly Facebook post about what I should lie about in a GoFundMe in order to raise money to help pay down my student loans. I received several funny suggestions, but a friend of mine messaged me privately suggesting that I create one that is honest, so I promised her that I would.

I am a full time widowed parent with substantial student loan debt ($60,000), and after my wife passed away I decided to go back to school to get my Marketing degree.

Just like any other student my hope was that I'd be able to find a good career in my field, be able to afford to take care of my son, and pay off my student loans.

Now I'm heading into default after not being able to pay as I pretty much live paycheck to paycheck taking care of my child. I'm not blaming anyone for my choices. I made them on my own. In fact I'm doing this gofundme as a promise to a friend who thought that it may help me. If you want to contribute in order to help me that would truly be a blessing, but if you can't or don't want to I completely understand.
