Kristi’s Warriors ❤️

Our friend Kristi Hueseman has been in a fight for her life, and so far defied all odds. She went to the ER on 1/2/19 and was septic, with life-threatening arrhythmias, and diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. The following days she was diagnosed with endocarditis and pneumonia, and the family was told she would not live. Fortunately, Kristi has proven to have an incredible strength that exceeded the medical team's expectations. On 1/11/19, she underwent a craniotomy to remove the brain metastasis - a surgery she was never expected to even make it to. The following week, she received her first dose of a two-drug immunotherapy regimen for her cancer following radiation treatments. She has had some significant reactions to the immunotherapy, so we are praying she will be able to continue this therapy.

This GoFundMe account has been set up to help offset medical bills, special medical accomodations that may be needed, and any other bills accrued while Kristi is undergoing treatment and recovering, and unable to work. Kristi has 3 kids, but the family has asked for it to be made very clear that the kids' needs are being taken care of by their father. Kristi is an oncology pharmacist at Siteman and loves her job and caring for other people. People who know Kristi know her as always laughing, telling jokes, loving life, and truly loving being a Mom to her 3 kids - Jack, Caroline, and Auggie.
