The Underground Homeless Initiative Needs YOU!

Hello, I hope everyone is warm tonight! It’s been really cold for a couple of days. As someone that experienced homelessness briefly last year, I can’t help but think of the ones out there with improper winter wear and no place to call home. I’ve decided to make this GoFundMe to help me get started with the financial costs to get my calling for an Outreach off of the ground. Trying to work 40plus hours a week, while working on collecting donations and helping without a vehicle is too much for me on my own. My startup needs are really simple:*$250 for the licensing, fees, etc. to acquire my permanent tax ID number, and the 501c status. *$100 to pay initial costs for renting a large storage unit. The clothing and necessities donations are piling up and I live in a one bedroom apartment! *$100 to pay for essentials to put in my ‘Peace Packs’. For example: hot-hands warmers; flashlights; simple snacks (nuts, protein bars). I’ve already handed several out containing everything from change for the bus, gloves, candles, crackers, soaps, toothbrush.. and much more. *$800 is what I need for a down payment on a van or a truck. I need a larger vehicle to be able to collect and distribute to the homeless. It would be nice to be able to drive to work as well. Walking home in the freezing cold is keeping me under the weather lately, especially if I have to work until 3 or 4 am. I would like to be able to transport the indigent occasionally in certain situations (which is why I’d prefer a van or small bus) but I still have to research the legalities. $400 would be needed to cover the tags and insurance if I am able to raise enough for a vehicle.
