Ralph's Bioness L300 Device

Ralph and his wife Fran, for more than 20 years, are the best of friends anyone could ask for but more like family to all that have met them.
Due to Ralph being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which has progressed rapidly, they are now struggling financially to find the means to purchase a device called Bioness L300 (below). Unfortunately, health insurance does not cover this device and it is an "out of pocket" expense.
Ralph is an amazing man, great husband, fantastic dad, the best friend to many and a very proud Providence Police Officer.
Ralph was always an active guy who loved the simple things in life such as taking his kids apple picking, washing his truck, cutting the grass, going out for coffee with his friends and patrolling the streets of Providence but unfortunately that all changed.
Now they find themselves making some very important and extremely tough decisions that would affect their lives. Ralph decided to leave patrol after 12 years, the job he loved the most, to work inside the police station. He knew this is what he had to do and it would hurt him both emotionally and financially.
Ralph has a chance to regain some independence back that had been lost by using the Bioness L300 device. The L300 is a leg cuff that is a small, light-weight device that fits just below the knee and supports consistent electrode placement for stimulation. The leg cuff produces and electrical current to activate and contract specific leg muscles. It stimulates the appropriate nerves and muscles of the leg to override natural electrical brain signals.
The cost for this device, one (1) cuff is approx. $6000. As a close friend of the family, I would love to try to raise some money to help purchase this device for Ralph.
Any donation would be deeply appreciated and would help them tremendously.
They have always been the type to help others and now Ralph needs our help so he can hopefully live a more fulfilling life with his family.
