George’s Medical Fund

As many of you may know, George was involved in a low speed collision which then resulted in him going into cardiac arrest on Monday, March 25. He was flown flight for life from Steamboat Springs to Loveland, Colorado where he is currently in an induced coma in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies.
George had emergency surgery to replace a stint in his arteries from a previous heart attack 11 years ago when he arrived at the UCHealth. Due to the time he was out before being revived, his brain, lungs and kidneys are of concern.
So far, we have seen him respond to commands and try to move around which is a great sign regarding his brain. He is not able to get the ventilator removed until his lungs are cleared of the aspiratory pneumonia(infection of the lungs most likely caused during the time cpr and resuscitation occurred). The biggest concern as of right now is his kidneys are failing.
All three of his children live either out of town or out of state, but are working together to create a plan of action in regards to future health care, medical expenses and general expenses as a whole. We are hoping to set up this account to help alleviate the financial stress that comes along with medical emergencies so the family can focus on taking care of George.
