In 2002 Katie was born with cancer and beat it, But left her with all sorts of health issues one being she can't feel pain like you or I. She has now developed an odontogont keratocyst in her jaw bone; this has already deteriorated 1/3 of her jaw. On 2/6/14 she underwent her 2nd surgery of many to come. Sayward and Johnny have already exhausted all medical and dental benefits for this year. The surgery on 2/6/2014 cost the family $1900 out of pocket. The cost the remaining surgeries are unknown at this time, which would depend on the course of treatment. Eventually Katie will have to have some of her jaw reconstructed with bone that will be taken from her hip or both to compensate for the bone that has been lost due to the Cyst. This has left them in a financial hardship. Every surgery left (approximately 3 or 4) needs to be paid out of pocket as a family of 6. We are having a benefit show on March 23 at the boardwalk in Orangevale (detail will come very soon) But this page is for the people who want to help and can't make to the show. Any little bit will help her at this point. We are working hard on getting her in the Shriner hospital to help but it could take a while for that if they can even help at all.
