Martin & Andrew's 1/2 Marathon Challenge

Martin Solon and Andrew Tretton are running the Liverpool Half Marathon on March 23, to help raise money for Martin's sister, Nina, who desperately needs a new wheelchair.
Nina was born with a condition called Cerebral Palsy - her stage of the disability means Nina is unable to walk and has limited control of her arms and legs and this new wheelchair will completely change her life.
Nina has already raised in excess of £2000 through various fundraising events, even completing a sky dive herself!
The idea of raising the money Nina needs for a wheelchair came from her other brother Shane, who often thought of different ways he could raise funds for her to finally have a chair that would enable Nina to take part in the activities she is currently restricted from. Unfortunately Shane passed away before he could organise anything and so now Martin has taken it upon himself to finally make it a reality.
One of the main focuses of Nina wanting to raise the money herself is because of the lack of funding she has been given over the years, which has meant she has not only missed out on a decent wheelchair, but she has also suffered with a lack of help needed to transport her to various activities. Most recently her transport to college was stopped unexpectedly and now Nina's Mum - who cares for her full time, must pay for something Nina should be entitled to.
Raising the money for her wheelchair might not solve all the issues but it would certainly complete a goal started by her late brother almost ten years ago and allow Nina to finally live a life she deserves to.
