Are you a former Bloom student? Have you felt the benefit from sport? Do you simply like to help out kids? You have a chance to pay it forward!

Charles Bloom Secondary is proud to be hosting the Senior Girls "A" Basketball Provincials for the next two years. For 2014, this will occur from March 5th "“ 8th. There will be 16 teams at this tournament representing regions across BC. Not only does this tournament allow our CBSS team to compete at the highest level, it also encourages our youth to stay active and involved with sport, which can sometimes be hard in a small town. We are hoping that there will be benefits to our area as well, as visitors see what our region has to offer.

We have heard several people around town say, "Let me know what I can do to help." Well here is your chance! With this fund we are asking for donations from individuals to help with our expenses. This will be in addition to the support that we have received from businesses through sponsorship and program advertisements. If you would like to help in this way or volunteer your time during the tournament, please contact Jennie Currie.

Thank you for your support! We hope to see you in the gym cheering these girls on!

Team Members: Shelby Bauml, Chyanne Barker, Lisa Campeau, Vicky Grahn, Alex Issler, Cheyenne Krog, Abby Lagerquist, Buster Marsh, Jenna Mulholland, Brianne Robertson, and Amy Verhage. Coaches are Katherine Norman and Jennie Currie

Our CBSS basketball team went to provincials in 1981 and it was one of the best experiences of my life! I went on to play basketball for the University of Alberta and I continue to play basketball even though I turn 50 this year! This is great for Lumby!

A team does not become a champion because they work harder than everyone else. They become a champion because they work hard TOGETHER for one second longer…GO BLOOM!
