Facing Eviction and Debt

Hi again, folks; I am 10 days away from eviction. I need $4,500 in order to stay in my home. I am about to get a replacement Internal Defribillator Implant, and I really don't want to add the stress of a hurried move to my recovery.

If you can help, thank you. If you can't, please share this campaign.

Hello. My name is Lee Garvin, by trade and ambition, I am a game designer and author. Twice in the last three years, I have had serious health crisises. In November of 2013, I fell ill with a life-threatening case of pneumonia, spending 10 days in a coma, and 2 months in the hospital or rehab. Then, this winter, I was hit by an infection on my defibrilator implant, sending me to the hospital with a 103 degree fever, where I stayed for 6 weeks.
I owe my life several times over to the skills and technology of the INOVA Hospital system, but unfortunately, they expect and deserve to be paid for their services. I currently have no reliable source of income and no savings, but I still need to pay rent, utilities, and buy food, in addition to the mounting medical debt.
I am home now, but not at my strongest. I have managed to discard the cane that I was using for 18 months (which I was afraid I'd need for the rest of my life), but endurance is hard to come by.
My dog, Mal, is convinced that anyone who comes to the door is going to take me away again, so he tends to get very protective (he loves his daddy).

It feels strange to ask strangers for so much help, but I really don't know what else I can do, except thank you most heartily for your generosity.

I came home from a convention where I was trying to make a bit of money to pay rent, and found an eviction notice on my door. I need to raise $4,000 before March 28th in order to stay in my home. I
feel confident that I will be able to scrape by once my back rent is paid, but to get there, I need to clear this hurdle.
Thanks, as always, for your generous help.

Hi everybody!
I've been getting a pretty mixed-bag of news recently.
On the one hand, my landlord has filed for eviction once again. It's tough going, but I am trying to raise the $4,500 I need to squash it.
On the other hand, my doctors have informed me that my septal myopathy has reduced by about 50%, and my mitral valve has mostly healed. The upshot if this is that I may not need open heart surgery after all! I won't know for sure until after I undergo a Trans-Esophegeal Endoscapy on Monday, so wish me luck!

Finally, I have launched a Patreon page so I can keep creating games and stuff. For those of you that don't know, Patreon is a crowdfunding platform that allows fans to interact with, and support their favorite creators. If you would like to help support me, and get access to a constant stream of new content, please go to:
https://www.patreon.com/LeeGarvin
If just 2,000 people pledge $1 per month, I will be able to shut down this GoFundMe page with my most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped me out over the last few years.

As the year closes, I have good news on the horizon, but I still have to GET there. I am late with rent and a few bills, and my Disability payment does not cover it. If I can get help for just the next few months, I think I'll be able to take this campaign down.

I am on Disability now, which helps, but is about 50% of what I need to pay my bills, and will not even touch my medical bills.
On the bright side, I appear to have a path towards health. This coming January, I hope to undergo two surgical procedures; Mitral Valve Replacement, and Septal Myectomy.
The Septal Myectomy is a particularly complicated surgery, where they basically shave a part of my heart away. There are only a handful of surgeons in any region that are even qualified to do it, I'm told.
Once I go through the surgery, I will then have yet another six-week period of recovery ahead of me, where I will not be able to work, or even take care of my sweet dog.
If you can help, I will greatly appreciate it; if you can't, I just request that you share my campaign wherever you can.
Thank you, and have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Good Kwanza, a Joyous Solstice, and a Happy Holiday!

Thank you for your website in the last update, I've been dying to check out the original floating vagabond while waiting for the remake and now I can throw money directly at you too, two birds with one stone!

Hey! I get paid Friday so I'll send some money then. Please hang in there! Tales from the Floating Vagabond got me through so many dark times! It like legitimately pulled me out of suicidal depression a couple of times, and I'm just now getting to share it with my boyfriend (the love of my life) and his friend. They're making me convert it to interface with Pathfinder, but it really is that FVB vibe that is important! I really hope you can get as much better from the love and support of your fans as reading your books made me! Thanks! ♥ ♥ ♥
