Rebuilding the Purdy 5's House

My family was involved in the major storm that hit central Michigan on June 23rd.  At 3 am, they woke up to the sound of their house falling in around them.  Their 72 foot basement wall caved in and along with that came a good portion of their yard.  Their basement is destroyed and since that is the foundation for their home, their structure has received significant damage.  They cannot live in their home and are currently living in a camper in their driveway.  Thank goodness there was no loss of life as one of their 17 year old daughters has her bedroom in the basement. THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT COVER ANYTHING!  It is considered ground water or flood and not covered. No one has flood insurance, it isn’t something they neglected.  People do not realize that many policies do not include flood insurance.  
     So, they have a home that is unlivable and they lost so much personal property; imagine a 17 year olds bedroom. She lost her clothes, her whole bedroom set, momentos.  In addition the family lost everything that was stored in their basement including but definitely not limited to fishing shanty, fishing equipment,  memories, toolboxes, table saw, and so much more!  It is unbelievable.  Think of everything you have in your basement!!
     My aunt (Jen Purdy) is a teacher in the Chippewa Hills School District and has touched many lives in the 20+ years she has dedicated to her “kids” and the community.  My uncle (Darian Purdy) is a hard worker for Shiloh Industries and continues to work hard to provide for his family during this difficult time.  They have 3 children:  Trevor, Gabrielle and Mckenna.  
     Please consider giving anything you can to help my family in need.  The repairs and amount of work that need to be done is simply astounding.  I wish I could explain everything here, but space is limited.  Please share this on Facebook or other social medias.
