All friends, family, strangers, and prayer warriors. I wanted to take this time out to say a simple thanks on behalf of Lee, Lamar, and especially Dinyal New. Rather it was a small, large donation, a simple call, prayer, a plate of food, or even positive presence nothing went unnoticed and was very much appreciated .
As many may already know Dinyal New has recently experienced a mothers worst nightmare. Less than a week after burying her 13 year old son, she suffered another loss Sunday Afternoon, after her second (only living) son and another young man were gunned down in a brazen daytime shooting. Leaving Dinyal childless.
Many have asked if their able to help in anyway so I've created this link for anyone wanting to help support her with expenses and hardship.
To Ms. New:
We are truly sorry for your loss. Loss of a child is heartbreaking it itself. Our hearts ache for you and your family. Though it is not much, we would like to express our love and support as fellow social workers. We are praying for your continued strength in coping and healing during this difficult time.
-Association of Black Social Workers South Central Kentucky
The Holy Spirit put it upon my heart to send you this word of PEACE and LOVE to your Heart from His. Always have Hope! Through Christ I can do all things. Terribly sorry for your loss Dinyal but know that your sons loved you and will see you again!
James 4; 9-10
I've been a single mother of 3 for the last 10 years. I can only relate to that part of your struggle and the love in your heart. Please find comfort in Jesus; and joy in the brevity of this life. We have an eternity of happiness ahead. You will be with your babies again. It is promised.
Your humble servant and sister in Christ, Quenby
The fact that you're still standing after losing both of your children makes you a far greater person than I can ever envision myself to be. I hope that the love you have for your children carries on to help anyone else that may ever face such a tragedy. No parent should EVER have to bury their child. How you are able to survive is beyond anything I can imagine. Truly. You are a warrior, a true warrior, and a fantastic mother, even now. I dont know if it's a burden or a blessing to know you reach people, I imagine its difficult to be alive right now, every minute is consumed. But Im from Delaware, the farthest reach from you, nation wide. I hope you find peace, in some place, in some time.
