Hope For Haley

This is Haley who suffers from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Like many with EDS, she has had multiple surgeries for Chiari malformation and fusion of the bones in her spine due to laxity. This is because her collagen is faulty. Recently, Haley's health took a turn for the worse, leading her neurosurgeon to find severe instability in her neck. Her neck is so unstable that it causes intermittent paralysis of her arms, legs and face. She also has constant numbness of the face and pain with eye movements. She will need another fusion, a fusion from C2-T1 to correct this instability. Haley has to stay in a cervical collar until her surgery or the paralysis will return. Her surgery is scheduled for this Friday, 10/19/18, pending insurance approval. The neurosurgeon requires a deposit of just under $7000 prior to surgery. This is very difficult, especially since she had a similar surgery in April of this year with a similar deposit beforehand. This fund raiser has been created in an attempt to help with the deposit. If you are able to help out with prayers, an encouraging note, or a donation, her family would be so grateful. Please, specifically pray for insurance issues to be worked out without delay. It is so very hard to watch a loved one suffer and it is especially hard and frightening for Haley to endure paralysis and constant pain. Having to ask for help is also very difficult.
