Camp Fire Displacement Funds

Hello everyone, my name is Kathryn Patterson, I am writing this with a heavy heart. My mother (Sandra Patterson), sister and brother in-law (Mary and Fred Turner) have lost everything in the Camp Fire that has destroyed their town of Paradise California. They lived in a house that was right off Skyway  on Fir st. We are positive that the house and all their belongings are gone.
My sister has been living and taking care of my mother (although she would not like to to say that....). My mother is in her 70s and in retired. They are both strong women, and I know they can get through this.

All three, including their three dogs are currently at a hotel in Orville, CA. They have enough money to last them few days, however the hotels are expensive (almost all are booked up due to the fire) and they are without clothes and normal everyday items that we all take for granted.

This loss hurts my heart and not being able to be there to help hurts also. Mary and Fred have come a long way in their lives and are not the same people they used to be. They are amazing hardworking people now. Just look at Fred!!

Mary is currently enrolled in  the Butte county ROP for medical assisting, in Chico CA. She is doing amazing there, however, due to the loss of the house we do not know if she will be able to stay in the area to finish classes.

We know there are many people out there displaced by this fire, they are our friends and neighbors and they are in our thoughts. Currently there are over 20,000 people displaced due to the Camp Fire. The town are Paradise is gone and many have lost their lives.


If you would please consider donating to my family we would be forever grateful. I know that life is hard and not everyone has the capability to contribute, but every little thing helps. If you would like to contribute anything other than money (clothes, bath essentials, dog food, human food, coffee :)  ....... ) please contact me  (Katy) and we can work out a way to get it to them, since they do not have a place to send it to. They don't have anything other than what they could grab quickly. Also, if you know anyone who is able to rent an apartment/house quickly please also let us know!
