Make-A-Wish Come True
Grace (bottom right corner), who was battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, was living a life that no child should have to. She spent lots of time away from her family, in a hospital bed, fighting against the sickness that was trying to ruin her life. A hospital is no an environment that someone her age should have to endure for so long. She spent a large portion of her childhood undergoing treatment for her condition, something which no child should have to go through. That was 10 years ago. Now, she is a healthy, thriving individual, studying a double degree at university, just over 10 years past her Wish Day. Make-A-Wish, with the help of thousands of other people donating around Australia, was able to, even if for just one day, make Grace's life better. The raw power of happiness gave Grace hope to keep fighting through her illness and gave her the strength to overcome it throughout her childhood.
Lara (top left corner), who is 4 years old, is also battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She also faces the harsh conditions of being in and out of hospital, just like Grace did over 10 years ago. For children like Lara, happiness comes at a harsh price, and Make-A-Wish is there to help pay it. Her wish was for a red puppy with a glittery tongue, that with the help of donors throughout the country, Make-A-Wish was able to fulfill. Lara's puppy, Rosie, is now herbest friend, who is able to not only comfort her throughout her childhood, but also provides a playful distraction from her illness.
This all goes to show that the power of happiness and joy, providing hope for sick children, is essential to their recovery from living with critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish is a charity organisation that literally grants the wishes of sick children. They use the raw power of happiness and giving in order to help children who are in need.
There is no amount of money too little or too great. Donations as much as a single dollar are greatly appreciated, as collectively, it creates enough money to grant wishes for sick children like Lara and Grace, aiding them greatly on their road to recovery!
Thank you so much for reading this. If you would like to donate, I encourage you to do so here on GoFundMe. Remember, even a single dollar is enough to change someone's life! Have a beautiful day
