#59 Colton S. Assistance Fund

On October 6, 2017, the Switzerland County Pacers played the North Decatur Chargers.  At the 3:55 mark in the first quarter, the Chargers set to kick-off to the Pacers.  Freshman Colton Schirmer took the field on the return team.  During the ensuing kick-off, Colton turned into a block by an oncoming player, lowered his head to brace himself and suffered a neck fracture.  Colton was Lifelined to Riley Hospital and will be undergoing treatment.  We believe that his long-term prognosis is recovery, but we know that he has a long road ahead of him.

The Charger Football program knows that his treatment and recovery will be a long and costly endeavor and want to contribute and assist his family in that area.  At the end of the day, we are all football players and we recognize that injuries are part of the game.  Colton and his family are certainly in our prayers and we want to make sure that we do our part to help them any way we can.

We are blessed to have a great community of fans and family and we know that you all will help out.  Please donate if you can and share this gofundme to your social network to help us reach our goal.
