Give Rainbow's End a chance
Rainbow's End Riding And Therapeutic Farm has been in operation for 13 years. The current economy has slowed our income. I would have to charge my current riders $75-$100 per ride to cover expenses and most could not afford this.
We have helped many riders overcome, fears, build confidence deal with autism and achieve accomplishments. The following letters from parents and riders explain it better than I can.

Letters from riders parents

I have many stories to tell about what these horses have taught me and others who have come here and what I have witnessed. It's all being compiled in a book called "It' All Connected: Horses Autism and the Rest of Us, Lessons Learned in the Barn. sample chapter
The proceeds of which will help continue the successes this place has brought about.

I want to keep Rainbow's End alive and these funds will give us the very chance we need to continue to provide the riding experience to those who need it.

Riding should be for everyone from the nuero-typical to the severely cognitively challenged. One thing I have learned is everyone can learn to ride it's just a matter of how long it will take. The benefits of riding should be available to all. Benefits that include building a close connection with another creature. It involves leadership training in how to get another being to cooperate with you. It's a stress reliever in that this activity is very consuming. You can't think about who is bullying you at school or the bills to be paid when you need to be careful this big animal in front of you doesn't step on your feet. Physically it improves balance, coordination and core strength. Riding is beneficial on so many levels, Psychologically, spiritualy, physically and cognitively and is also proven to increase academic achievement. It helps focus children with add and autism. It helps develop social skills as well. Our riders also compete in as low key and fun atmosphere that we can find.
Besides all this horses are good listeners.

The horses are mostly all second chance horse that have helped bring about some amazing stories meet the horses. meet the horses

The $50,000. we are asking for will keep us going another two years while the book is finished and be used for a marketing and business plan to get us in a self-sustainable position. It will also be used to make improvements to the property, repair leaky roofs, update plumbing and electric to ensure safe operation. The marketing plan I hope will include a small store/café selling fairly traded organic goods, and calendar and Christmas cards of our horses. Solar and manure combustion to reduce costs and sell back electricity. Fill our riding slots and hire part time help to give me the hours to write and build a proper website. Have space available to offer other alternative beneficial services as well including yoga tai chi and Reiki.

So please donate to keep a worthwhile program alive. And feel free to schedule a visit to see us in action or just meet the horse crew.
