care and prayers for khaleesi

Our beautiful baby girl was born on october 15, 2013. She was born with scid, severe combined immune deficiency. Which basically means she has no immune system. The only cure for this right now is for her to have a bone marrow transplant. her doctors will start searching for a donor match this week. Hopefully they can find one that is as close to 100% as they can get. The better the match the better off she'll be. If they can't find a donor match then either me or her daddy will be the donor. This is a last resort though since we are only half matches. This is the only way to get her better. Without the transplant she could get very sick since her body can't fight anything off. She needs this to be able to live a somewhat normal life. The more people who register the more of a chance she'll have at finding a better match. The website is bethematch.org. Please consider signing up. She will be admitted to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia when it comes time. She will receive immunoglobulin through an iv every 4 weeks until they start the transplant process. she just had her first one this past wednesday. This will help protect her. She's also on an antibiotic (since about 2 weeks), and on an antifungal medicine that helps protect her. They plan on starting the search this week for a donor match. When they find one we will head to the hospital where we will basically be living for a while. They will put some kind of port in up by her neck so she can receive medicine, the chemo and i believe the actual transplant. She has to receive chemotherapy to kill off the bad cells in her little immune system that she does have. Then she will have the transplant. There are risks to all of this being done but she needs to have it done. There is a chance of her little body not accepting the donor cells which will then cause problems. This is called graph vs host disease. If for some reason her little body doesn't take to this she will have to do the whole process over. After the transplant we will have to stay in the hospital quite a while for our baby girl to be monitored. Our stay will depend on how well she does with everything. We're hoping and praying God gives her the strength to get through this easily. The reason for me setting up this fund is basically so her daddy will be able to take a little time off from work to stay with us. We live about 2 1/2 hours away from the hospital. So he won't be able to drive to see us often. He is allowed to stay with us but without him working we can't afford to keep up our house and living expenses. I'm not the type of person that usually asks for help. I tend to think i can do it on my own. But i know i have to do this for my baby girl. We need help. We're gonna need her daddy there, at least part of the time. We have to be there for her. She's our life now and we wouldn't want it any other way. But there's no way for him to be there unless we get help. Please, please consider donating so her daddy can be with us at the hospital. Anything would be so greatly appreciated. I'd be forever grateful if you help us. Its important for both of us to be with her to keep her strong. Please consider donating or signing up to see if you'd be a match for our baby girl. Thank you all so very much for caring and please say a prayer for our little one.
