Greg Ellis Memorial Fund
The world tragically lost a great friend and father today. As you may or may not have known, our friend Greg Ellis lost his life this morning, and with that he left behind an amazing family and most dear to him, his son Anthony. I am setting up this page to help his family with laying Greg to rest and to help with Anthony's future. ALL donations go directly into a fund set up solely for Anthony and Greg's family. I don't know what to say without too much emotion, but even just a few dollars help. Anthony was EVERYTHING to Greg, and my heart is torn to pieces to lose such a great friend and to think about Anthony losing his hero. Please help this family, you know if it was anybody else mixed up in this tragedy, Greg would have done everything he could do. Thank you. You will be missed more than you ever would think brother love ya T.G.
thanks guys. Also on Feb. 7th at the voo in turners falls there will be another event. Not sure on time but I will post details as they com.
We are coping as best we can. Hope all of you forgive the fact we haven't been posting to everyone as much as we can. But the sheer volume of love and support makes it almost impossible. If it were up to us we would send every single one of you a personal thank you and a great big hug. Really can't wrap my mind around what circumstance we are in, never mind pull the mental capacity to put into words or letters how grateful and thankful we all are for everything all of you have done to give us support and love in this tragic situation. We are just amazed to see how many lives my son has reached. With being his dad, comes cirtan territory that I know Greg differently. He came to me for advice, or comfort in time of need. I didn't see the happy go lucky GREG. that you all know. the shwill, the truffle shuffle. just greg we all know and truly love.
We all just cant thank you and love you all enough without being sorry. Sorry that we cant respond to every single person in a timely fashion and thank you more than words can ever portray. really we cannot express the sheer volume of reality. The reality our beloved son reached out to ALL of you're lives. thank you. I could not be more proud to be learned by my son on the value of love. god bless you all. and don't forget not one comment or memory goes overlooked. I will make a formal post for all of you to see when the time is right. when I know exactly what to say.
so that is my rendition of what john wanted me to say for him. I apologize if I didn't do it to the tee.

I worked with Greg years ago at Rugg Lumber and I could tell he was a great person and true standup guy. Later I would catch up with him and saw how he become a great father too. God Bless you Greg and I hear that Heaven is a Halfpipe so at least up there you can skate. Peace brother
I did not know you long but working with you was a pleasure. I had just met you beautiful son the day before you left us. I could see what a great and dedicated father you were. I was saddened by the news. R.I.P Greg.
God breaks our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. And Greg was exactly that. A great friend, father, son, everything. Everything he did he did with dedication and love. I am so sorry you are gone. An to Greg's family, I am a friend. And if there is anything I can do now or in the future please ask. RIP Greg xoxoxo
i want to thank everyone for the family. every little bit helps. again thank you all.
One of my best memories of Greg oh my there are so many i can't pick just one. One thing that will stay with me forever his the way Greg's eyes lit up when ever he talked about Anthony, how he dedicated himself to being the best father he could be for his son and the love he had for everyone in his life. I will miss you greatly Greg rest in peace lost but never forgotten
I have a good memory...I'm one of Anthony's teachers and on New Year's Eve Greg called to ask if there was school the following day. I was talking to him for a minute and the bus showed up and I could hear Anthony greeting his father. Greg didn't hang up yet and I heard them excitedly greeting each other and saying they missed each other all day. Greg told Anthony, "I'm so happy you're home! I thought about you all day. I can't wait to hang out." Greg had no clue I was still on the phone and I imagine they lovingly greeted each other like that each day. When I hung up the phone I turned to my coworkers and told them, "I just heard the best thing ever." It was inspirational to see how much Greg loved Anthony and I'll never forget that.
I worked with Greg. He was such a hard worker and so knowledgeable. He was always so kind to everyone. I'm so sorry to all his friends and family. You will continue to be in my thoughts.
Deeply saddened. I worked with him for a short while; he was a very gentle and kind- hearted young man
My heart is broken for this loving dad, and the adoring little son he leaves behind. To the Ellis Family and all Greg's friends, I'm so sorry. He was a good man, a fun daddy and loyal friend.
Rest in pardise greg
