Fundraiser for Wallflower Sanctuary

We were one day too late to rescue baby George from getting picked up and getting sent to Quebec. When I spoke to the farmer last Sunday he had mentioned the veal industry so to my understanding, I thought he was going to be slaughtered right away for veal. When the farmer was contacted last night we found out that he will be auctioned and raised until 18 months old, and then slaughtered for beef. At this farm he was well taken care of but as soon as he leaves, we have all seen and know how the meat industry can be abusive and cruel. I wanted to so badly try to save him. Everyone one was so supportive and so helpful and I want to thank you all for that. We finally had everything all sorted yesterday ( Wednesday ) for George, but it was to late. Even though it's too late for for George I don't want to end it here. I want to take this as an opportunity to raise awareness for animal sanctuaries. After doing so much research in trying to find a home for George, I have learned that there are many sanctuaries here on Canada and they need our continuous help. Whether it be physical help in giving our time in building new barns or fencing or financial help. They do amazing work for the animals. So for them to continue to be there for the animals we need to be there for them also. This is a fundraiser for Walflower Sanctuary on behalf of George. Thank you so much for you support.
