We are a group of people who are disillusioned by pride. It has become a de-politicised, de-radicalised, commercialised opportunity for businesses to promote themselves and the straights to jump on our queer bandwagon for the ride, only to hop off again the next day.
So after two successful years we are throwing another DIY Pride; a completely free event for people to come together and celebrate pride by not going to pride!
We are raising money so that we can afford to hire speakers, microphones, marquees, print flyers and posters, get decorations.
It is really important to us that this space is as accessible as possible and with enough donations this means we can provide taxis for people who wouldn't otherwise be able to get there.
Any donations are welcome, no matter how small (we like big ones too though). Happy pride!
