Magnetic Ear travels to Germany

Dear Friends,
our pocket brass band 'Magnetic Ear', a six piece ensemble from New Orleans has booked a 10 day tour in Germany in October 2015.
We were counting on a travel grant by the MidAtlantic Arts Foundation and felt pretty optimistic since they have sponsored us in the past but this time we were denied any support. Flights and transportation to and in Germany for 6 people will easily add up to $ 8000.
My band mates are real soldiers and are ready to be out there working for almost 2 weeks and earn nothing so we can at least cover half of the travel expenses but that's just not right, they deserve better. It breaks my heart and my bank account.
The chance to play Oktoberfest and all these other gigs is a unique opportunity to showcase our music and make Magnetic Ear a self sufficient unit in the European market.
