Keep Jeremy’s Mom With Him

I’m Shi-Ann Hauck, a sister of a US Army veteran, Jeremy Voels. Jeremy was shot by a sniper in the lower back in Afghanistan in 2010, 2 months into his deployment. The bullet went in through his lower back and out through his chest. However it broke off bone fragments from his ribs, which ricocheted around and hit every organ except his heart. He was originally paralyzed from the waist down until a VA hospital made him paralyzed from the chest down by using an epidural. He has been in and out of hospitals since. (once our mom gives me the letter with everything else that has happened to him in the last 8 years, I will update this) he is currently in Alabama at a VA facility that is claiming my brother “costs too much” to take care of. My brother has been considered terminal. And yet the VA is putting a price on my brothers life. I am making this go fund me to help raise money for my parents so they don’t have to worry about the funds to drive back and forth from their home to the hospital and also the funds to renovate their home for when my brother hopefully gets to be home and be cared for by our mom.
