Help a refugee family

We have been lucky enough to get to know a wonderful family who arrived in Alameda a few weeks ago. They are from Afghanistan, and the father worked for the US military there, and because of this service the family was able to immigrate legally last month. Through them we have also met their cousins, including another recently arrived family member who worked with US forces.

We are hoping to raise money to help them and their extended family with housing and transportation costs. Many people in our lovely community have helped out already and we are so grateful! And others have offered to donate and suggested Go Fund Me as an easy way to donate for friends both locally and from farther away. All funds donated (after Go Fund Me administrative costs) will go the extended family, through one of the cousins, Freshta Amini.

Getting to know this family has been a profound privilege and changed our lives. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
