Marley's recovery
Donation protected
On Sunday, April 30, Marley, a 10 year old Rhodesian ridgeback was on her leash while walking with her owner on a public hiking trail in East Haddam, CT. A dog left their yard, which was near the trail and viciously attacked Marley. It took three people to separate the attacking dog from Marley's neck.
Marley has undergone surgery with a specialist and has an extensive recovery in front of her. While the law requires the owner of the other dog pay the vet bills, this is not an enforceable law in CT. The mounting bills are left to Marley's owner. To date, the owners of the vicious dog have not taken any accountability or action.
