Gwen's Breast Cancer Recovery

At the end of July, Gwen Jones received the shocking news that she has breast cancer. Gwen is a mother to Andrew, Tyler, and Cameron, stepmother to Emma and fiancé to Jon.  She is funny, sweet, kind and has been my very good friend for many years.  As many of you may know, just over 2 years ago Gwen suffered the loss of her oldest son Andrew. The loss was devastating and it took nearly 2 years for her to navigate through that grief and put her life back together. Her family was by her side supporting her through that pain. Just as she had begun to feel like herself again, she received her diagnosis.

Her doctors are optimistic that they have caught it in time. However, with an impending surgery in October and other treatments and surgeries to follow, this is just the beginning of a long road to recovery for her and her family. Jon is their sole financial provider and is now faced with the difficult choice of working instead of attending doctor visits or being home to care for Gwen after surgery. Your contribution will assist with medical bills and living expenses so that Jon can take time from work, as needed, to support Gwen through this process so they can fight this together without the added stress of financial burden.
