Sunrise Horse Rescue - Valley Fire

We have seen the images of the burning homes, people evacuating, the firefighters in the Lake & Napa Counties with the explosive 50,000-acre Valley Fire burning uncontained right now. But how about the animals?

At least 1,000 homes have been destroyed and hundreds more are being threatened, Cal Fire says.

Sunrise Horse Rescue in St Helena has already taken in several evacuated horses & goats, and are awaiting the arrival of many more now. Feeding and getting medical care for all of these unexpected animals has placed a burden on their resources and they need help IMMEDIATELY.

Please donate anything you can to these brave men & women who are up there in the smoke & flames making sure they save as many as possible.

Why I'm doing this??

Tracee is my dearest friend and works tirelessly to save horses year round. With this terrible fire happening so close to her area, she has once again rounded up her amazing volunteers & they are taking in these evacuated animals who need shelter from the smoke, fire & ashes.

The funds raised are going directly to feed & treat all of the animals who have been evacuated & have found shelter at Sunrise Horse rescue.  Any funds left over will go directly to Sunrise Horse Rescue to continue to do the good work they do, and the video above goes into more detail about them.

I have visited Sunrise Horse Rescue on many occasions and have personally seen the amazing transformations that take place with those they rescue. They can't save them all, but they sure give it their best shot & to me, they are true heroes!
