Kidney Kid - Wes Smith - expenses

Wade Edward Smith, aka Wes, is 13 years old and had a kidney transplant November 3rd, 2015.  Over the summer he had a rejection event, but recovered from it.  Toward the end of November (2018) he started getting sick and his creatinine levels headed upward.  He will be going back to the hospital for treatment for this.  As you are probably aware, rejection episodes are not good!  So far he has survived 5 similar episodes.  Wes also has Williams Syndrome, not related to the kidney failure/transplant, but while it adds medical complications, it also makes him such a joy to be around!  He is the light of our family's life! Wes plays the trombone and is in the school band, he is also in a local basketball league, Milton Basket Ball League, and loves small engines (like weed eaters, lawnmowers, tillers, dirt bikes and such).  Someday he wants to be famous like the Lucky Chops (google them! they are awesome), or a small engine repair guy. When we first opened this campaign we were afraid that Wes would miss Christmas.  Well, Wes did manage to be home for Christmas and New Years that year.  THANK YOU everybody, the original donations for our first several visits this has literally saved us!  We are praying that he doesn't loose this kidney. Finally, the point of this campaign, every time Wes has to goes back in the hospital, it is a huge emotional and financial burden.   The out of pocket expenses of gas, food and lodging is probably the most stressful.   The main problem is the loss of finances as a result.  The last trip to PA (last week) wiped me out.   So we are reactivating this emergency fund to cover out of pocket expenses AND to help keep the household running when there is a loss of income. We couldn't ask for more loving emotional support, in that way we have been blessed.  But, our family has had such a hard time dealing with the financial end of this, it is an ongoing struggle. Please, especially now during the holidays, help.
