Jordan’s Fight With Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Jordan’s journey is a story of inner strength and grace. Anyone who has met her can tell you a story because she is that kind of a person, one that leaves an impression. Her beauty is inside and out. She truly loves everyone. Her smile is genuine, her words are kind and from the heart. Her friendship is true, the kind that binds you to her forever. After five short months of marriage at just 28, Jordan was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer advancing into her lymph nodes and to lymph system. Newlywed bliss was over in a blink of an eye. Who would have thought this young couple just learning how to be married would now be in for the battle of their young lives. A battle for Jordan’s life. No longer were they discussing monotonous day to day things like who would make dinner, they were now discussing things like mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. Jordan’s treatment would involve all these. First came the double mastectomy, right before Christmas, followed by six months of intense chemotherapy and now she has just begun her six weeks of radiation treatments. Once that is finished, her final surgery will be scheduled. Watching someone who has always been so full of life and the one that people lean on become weak and fragile is not an easy thing, but then cancer is not an easy thing.

As you can see, with her husband, Craig, by her side, her family and friends embracing her, she has climbed every mountain with a smile on her face. We have no doubt that she will beat this but cancer just doesn’t take a toll on a person physically and emotionally, it is financially draining. Jordan has been out of work for six months due to her treatment regimen. Craig’s health insurance was a blessing but deductibles and coinsurance payments are expensive for a young couple on only one income. Craig has been working as many extra shifts as he can and Jordan has just found a part time job that will work around her treatment schedule but she is still trying to get her strength back from just completing chemotherapy. The anxiety and stress caused by the medical bills pilling up is overwhelming for this young couple. Resources have been exhausted and their credit cards have been maxed out. Fundraising and asking for help are not easy to do and Jordan would never do it for herself. Those of you that know her, know she would give her last meal to a stranger before asking for a handout. So on behalf of Jordan and her family, I am asking for any donation no matter how small to help ease a little of their burden. Thank you so much. With love and gratitude.
