As many of you know Jimmy and his eldest daughter Meghan were in a car accident June 15th. After flipping the median they rolled several times into oncoming traffic. No other motorists were injured. Meghan suffered minor physical injuries. She is dealing with the mental and emotional trauma fairly well, although some days are hard for her. Jimmy was knocked unconscious at the beginning of the accident. Both were wearing seatbelts, but he still suffered scrapes and bruising over 70% of his body. Jimmy also has a fracture in his cervical spine, facial fractures and a traumatic brain injury that required a craniotomy. After 20 days in ICU, which was prolonged due to a lung infection he developed after aspirating, he has moved into in-patient rehab. They will work with his muscles and teach him daily self care again. The best case scenario at the moment is that Jimmy will be in rehab for 20 to 25 days, then need full time supervision upon returning home. I am asking for assistance to cover medical expenses for them both as well as travel to and from the hospital for myself and our children. I will need ongoing time away from work. My paid time off will be running out very soon. Anything you are willing and able to give is much appreciated. Please also take a look at our journal and leave your well wishes for Jimmy. He likes hearing the encouragent as he fights thru this. May God bless each of you. Misty
