Support The Fisher Family

As many of you have heard Ryan Fisher was in a bad car accident on Sunday, November 3rd. He was a passenger in a vehicle that rolled 4 times and slid for quite a ways on the asphalt. Ryan's leg was pinned under the vehicle which required the vehicle to be cut off of him. Ryan was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center where they discovered a compound fracture of his right ankle, 2 broken vertebrae in his neck, his left ear partially severed and the top of his right hand shredded. The trauma team took him to surgery which took over 6 hours. They were able to clean and sew his hand the best they could, fuse his neck, set his ankle and stitch his ear. After surgery he was taken to ICU.

On Monday November 4th, Ryan was taken back into surgery to pin and plate his ankle.  With not much skin or tissue left he surgeon said there may be some dying skin/tissue they will have to go back in and remove. Ryan will also require some skin grafting and have a couple screws removed. He will not be able to walk for 3 months. He also had an MRI that showed great results of the neck fusion. Within the next 3 months the fusion could slip and an additional neck surgery would be required.

On the afternoon of Tuesday November 5th, Ryan was moved out of ICU. His pain is horrible and he needs rest.

Ryan has a very long road of recovery ahead of him and will be requiring lots of physical therapy. At this point the care team is predicting Ryan to be off work for 6 months.

I have been blessed to be a part of this family that has an over abundance of love for everyone that walks into their lives. They are welcoming to everyone and will help anyone. Now is the time for us to show them some love and help in return. Ryan is one of the most giving people I know and would give his last dollar to a stranger if they needed it. Please keep this family in your prayers for the long road ahead of them!
