Phinehas Jude: Support the Robbins

Donation protected
Our dear friends Britton and Keri Robbins were long term missionaries in Turkey. Earlier this year they were excited to find out that Keri was pregnant. Within months they were both off the field and back in the US exploring a number of medical issues in Keri's body that were discovered through the early stages of pregnancy.

A month before the due date of their precious Phinehas Jude, they were told that their son would most likely not survive birth. His arms and legs were disproportionate to his body and his chest was too small to live outside of the womb. The doctors said that Phinehas likely had Skeletal Displasia, a fatal genetic disorder, and possibly Down Syndrome. Due to the fact that Phinehas was no longer growing in the womb, the doctors scheduled a C-Section.

In the weeks that followed, thousands of you prayed. And the Lord acted.

Defying the odds, Phinehas Jude survived birth on December 2 2013. He had a proportional body, a normal sized chest and no signs of Skeletal Displasia. You can watch the first moments of his life and read more about the story here: http://vimeo.com/81285970

As of this week, it has been confirmed that Phinehas has Down Syndrome as well as some heart and airway complications. Yesterday he was transferred from Columbus to Atlanta where he underwent heart surgery. [To read the specific medical details, click here: http://vimeo.com/81285970]
Multitudes of you have contacted Britton and Keri asking how they can help, serve or give. Due to the intensity of the season they have been focused solely on Phinehas and haven't been able to respond to everyone in the way that they would like to. We thought we could all help them out, simplify the process, and show them some extravagant generosity.

Having been frontier missionaries in the Middle East prior to this season, Britton and Keri currently have no income and mounting financial expenses. They need our help.

Medicaid has covered the birth. But they're facing many substantial financial needs in caring for a special needs child with health complications. Since they have been back in the US they have been borrowing vehicles to get around, living with family and trusting the Lord for their daily needs. Additionally, because they weren't sure if Phinehas would survive birth, they haven't purchased all the normal things parents at this stage would have for their newborn (like bottles, a crib, etc.).

Their greatest immediate needs are related to their stay in Atlanta. While Phinehas undergoes surgery and recovery over the next few weeks, Britton and Keri are facing daily expenses that they simply do not have.

Let's stand with them and give generously! Every financial gift will go straight to Britton and Keri.
