Huyanas Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Monica. I want to start off by telling you a little bit about Huyana. Huyana is a loving 2 1/2 year old Black Lab Rottweiler mix. Her favorite things are going on hikes, playing with her baby (my son) , and car rides with her family. I picked Huyana out when she was just 3 days old from a close family friend. Shes been with me her whole life. Now, last night we had left for a couple hours and came home to find out that Huyana had gotten out. We called the Lorain Police department letting them know Our dog had gotten out and to call us if they get a call or have seen her. About 2 hours into searching, the Lorain police department called us telling us they had found Huyana. Huyana was found trapped under someone's car in between the brake line and strut. She was quickly taken to North View Animal Clinic in North Ridgeville, where we quickly went to see our baby. When we seen the doctors they had told us she was pretty bad. She had gotten a big laceration on her side and she had a bad skull fracture. Seeing her in person broke my heart. My baby girl was hurt and there was nothing I could do about it. I had the choice to put her down or give her a 50/50 chance at survival by signing my rights to Huyana over to the APL so she could get treatment right away. Huyana has gone through some surgeries since last night. If Huyana makes it through in order for me to get her back when shes recovered, I will have to pay for her medical expenses. If the apl pays for it once shes recovered they will be putting her up for adoption. If Huyana does not make it ALL donations will be going to the Lorain County APL.
