Skylar Seward Spinal Cord Injury fund

Donation protected
On October 12th, 15 year old Skylar's life changed forever. She was a passenger in a horrible car wreck that injured numerous other teens. Her injuries were by far the worst, suffering a C6 Spinal Cord injury resulting in paralysis from the chest down. She has already endured a 7 hour surgery and is currently in an intensive rehabilitation program at Seattle Children's Hospital.

She is scheduled to come home on December 17th. The 2 story home (bedrooms upstairs and half bath downstairs) her family lives in is currently being remodeled. This includes the living room being converted to her bedroom and the half bath and walk-in pantry have been gutted and joined together so that a new bathroom with a roll-in shower can be built in their place.

The community is coming together to help make this transformation possible. Whether you can donate $1 or $100 "“ it all helps! We can never change what has happened to her but we can make her life as comfortable as possible with the support of family and friends. Here is a news link to get details of the accident. http://www.kirotv.com/news/news/7-teens-injured-i-5-crash/nbMkZ/

In addition to the work that is being done on the home they live in, the family desperately needs a van that is wheelchair accessible with a lift. They recently test drove a 2005 van that was $30,000 but are currently lacking the finances to make that purchase.

There isn't an amount too small to give "“ together we can make a difference! It's kind of like when you gather your pocket change and all of the sudden you have $25! Our goal is high, because the need is high. We know God is in charge here. Even if you can't give, prayers are MUCH appreciated. Thank you so much just for reading her story.
