SAVE SWEET STELLA

In 2014 Furbaby Rescue saved a 6 month old pibble girl who was surrendered to the shelter with a horrible case of demodex mange. Her family could not afford or didn’t want to get treatment. We took this sweet baby into our loving care and before long she was brand new and you could hardly tell she had been sick. Stella was playing and loving life like she never had before. She won the hearts of everyone who met her. Eventually she was adopted by what we thought was a great home. As you know in rescue you can do everything right and still come out with an unfortunate outcome ! Flash forward ........ In 2018 we got the call no rescue ever Wants to get. Stella’s owner wanted to return her to the rescue. After living in a home for over 3 years she was being returned. We went to get Stella and right away noticed her skin was flared up with mange again. Other than that Stella seemed fine. She was eating and drinking and was still the sweet girl we once knew but she was all grown up. Unfortunately She began to show symptoms of sickness. We took Stella to our vet on Sunday night and X-rays and blood tests confirmed our worst nightmare. Stella’s Kidney levels were off the charts and her X-ray showed tremendous inflammation in her stomach. She was immediately put on iv fluids and antibiotics. She has been in the hospital going on 5 days and there’s nothing else our regular vet can do. She needs a specialist. He has recommended NC State but we do not have that kind of funding at the moment. We need a miracle donation to save her. Stella Wants to survive and she didn’t deserve this. Please share and help us raise the funds she will need to possibly save her life. We have to try. We failed her once we don’t want to fail her again. Keep fighting Stella.
