A Mans Best Friend In Need.

I’m here to ask all of you to help out one of our own here in Juneau. Cristian, who had his partner in crime and best friend, Ryker hit by a speeding car right in front of him. Cristian rescued Ryker and has done everything to do right by this little pup since the day he got him. I can only imagine the traumatic pain and shock of seeing the one you love so much get struck right before your eyes. Let alone watch the person who did it speed off without hesitation. As of yesterday Ryker is “stabilized” at the Vet, however he is being monitored heavily over the weekend. Preliminary X-rays and exam shows a broken pelvis that is way out of alignment, scattered fractures of varying degrees, and some pretty bad head trauma with some brain swelling. Ryker since has undergone surgery. He is now out of surgery, He ended up needing two plates, a sacroiliac screw and a toggle rope to stabilize his right leg and hold it back in place until the tendons and muscle heal properly in place. Fortunate though, he still has strong vitals. They will be monitoring him and keeping him for an additional 24-48 hrs at the least just to make sure everything stays and there aren't any issues that arise. Also, Ryker still isn’t out of the woods so please just think of him, pray for him, and or send good vibes that he gets back healthy and safe. We all know how expensive Juneau vet bills are, and no one deserves to go through what Cristian has. He has unfortunately had to WATCH this happen to his best friend; his family. Cristian is young, and is just in the start of his career. This is the least we can do as a community. He’s got a good heart, and deserves a little help during this terrible time.
