Underwater Rugby Female National Champions to The Champions Cup in Berlin
After several years of hard work from every club in Australia, the National Championships of Underwater Rugby held the First Female National Competition, a giant milestone for the sport in the country. After a fierce tournament, the Victoria Seadragons Underwater Rugby Female team (Dragonettes) were crowned the first Australian National Champions, and with that came the invitation to the Berlin Champions Cup 2018, the biggest Underwater Rugby event for Clubs worldwide.
This annual event holds the battle between the champion club of each nation, fighting for the title of the best club in the world. The team is training harder than ever, to make Australia proud. We are a group of women giving our 100% to the sport that we love.
However, with the short period of time before the competition, we are struggling to get enough funds to cover the costs involved in travelling and participating.
We are here to ask for the support of every man and woman who has had a dream so big that, regardless of the difficulties, has done what ever it took to make this dream a reality. With your help, we hope to show the world how much underwater rugby has grown in Australia.
To Everyone who contributes to our cause, THANK YOU for dreaming with us.
