Help Sig

Donation protected
My family and I adopted Sig from a local rescue in 2015. He was instantly a part of our family. 3 days after we adopted him, my husband’s grandfather passed away. This sweet kitten just sat on my husband’s pillow while he grieved his grandfather. He has been a huge source of comfort and entertainment since we’ve had him. In November of 2017, Sig was diagnosed with feline idiopathic cystitis. We modified some behavioral changes in our home and within his diet to ease the symptoms. On June 5, we had to rush him to the emergency vet because he now has a urinary blockage from the FIC. The estimate given for treatment is was close to $3000. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that Sig won’t suffer another urinary blockage, but we wanted to try to get him treatment before making a hard decision. We have about 18 hours to fully make a decisions before the pain medications and the manual drainage of his bladder become invalid. I am going to call around to different vets in the morning to see if we can receive a lower treatment cost. All money will be used toward his treatment and the environmental changes required for his ongoing health. If we have to make a tough decision, I will refund what has been given, or with permission, forward those monies on to Forever Yours Dog Rescue to help with the continuation of saving animal lives. We appreciate you taking the time to read about our precious Sig Newton. We love him dearly and have to consider the quality of his life in additional to the financial responsibility of his illness.
