Hello, My name is Dylan Bracken. I am son of Christopher Bracken, who was an Army veteran, and in that picture is my daughter Autumn Bracken. He was 47 years old and I am 22 years old. My daughter Autumn Bracken is a little over a month. My father was a friend to many people, an all around caring and strong man.
June 2nd 2018 I had made plans the day before to take our little boat out for a nice day at the lake with Katie. My lady (Katie) and I drove to his house that Saturday morning, the door was locked, luckily I had a spare key, as my lady follows me in the house we walk up the stairs to my father layed face down over on the couch napping as we thought, I then try to wake up him up to remind him we are taking the boat out. A few shakes later had me very worried next instinct was to reach for his neck, it was very cold.
Immediate shock set in place as my lady calls 911, they get on the phone I yell please tell me how to save my dad. They tell her to tell me to get him on his back on to the floor, as I turn him to the side we immediately come to realization that my father was deceased. (Bad heart issues.) Details of the sight are not necessary as I am needing to see my father as his same self for the embalming, we need the closure. I love my dad very much and he was a wonderful father not only to me but to my lady as well, we have been together for almost 4 years. He doesn’t have a loved one just his children. but he heart issues and severe diabetes.
I am asking for help from friends and family to help pay for his services. He unfortunately did not acquire life insurance, and has a few unfinished bills that he wanted to get payed. He rented an apartment and worked and everyday job Monday through Friday, my father lived a good life but was taken way to soon. Memorial service cost- 3,155$ I am only concerned about acquiring this cost for his service so family and friends can come to mourn and grieve for my father and be able to see him one last time as the handsome man I remember seeing my father to be everyday.
Any other donations if able to raise above will be to help with other bills and arrangements strictly concerning my father. As I will be helping with cost as much as I can, but with having a family of my own and losing one of the strongest support I had will be a tough challenge, but I promise you dad I will not give up and I will live in your name, you are with the Heavenly Father now.
My dad was very religious and prayed everyday to have the strength to be able to walk his granddaughter down Old Alton bridge. Well dad when she’s old enough I’ll be there to hold her hand and I know you will be right on the other side. Please god guide my father to his parents who are rested as well, thank you and amen.
Chris Bracken’s viewing will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home located at 2025 W. University Drive Denton, TX 76201. The viewing will be on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 2pm-4pm. Family and friends are welcome to come and see Chris for the last time, as he would love everyone there♥️ Chris Bracken’s unfinished bills, memorial services & more.
