Money collected will be donated to the New York Centre for Children in Roger’s name. The certificate will be presented to him in person this fall at his NY Event in November. http://www.newyorkcenterforchildren.org/
As you know Roger portrays a survivor of child sexual abuse on General Hospital. We thought this would be a lovely way to recognize his 50th birthday and his stellar work on GH, by giving back to victims of child abuse in his honor.
I have been in contact with Christine at the NYCC who will be helping facilitate this project. Christine has also been sent the link to the Go Fund Me so she can track our progress and has gratuitously made it so 100% of money collected in this campaign will go to the children, with no overhead taken by the charity.
All money will be collected by me and donated to the NYCC at the end of the campaign. Any fees taken by Go Fund Me will be covered by me; every cent collected will go to the NYCC. A record of the donation will be shared with all who contributed. Everyone’s names will also be presented to Roger with the certificate (unless you would like to remain anonymous).

The New York Center for Children (NYCC) is a child-friendly Center, providing free, comprehensive evaluation and therapy services to victims of child abuse and their families. All of the programs and services at NYCC are completely free of charge. NYCC is a not-for-profit organization that relies on donations to cover the costs of operations. NYCC serves all families, including those without insurance. NYCC serves children from all five boroughs of New York City.
No donation is too small, any amount will help to service these children.
We will be accepting donations until September 13, 2018.
