Emma was diagnosed at 9 months of age with a cancerous tumor in her liver.   Due to the substantial size, it was necessary for Emma to have a liver transplant.  By God's grace she has been living life to the fullest  for the past 5 years.  Recently, she began not feeling well and her skin was jaundice.  She was evaluated at Boston Children's where it was determined that her body was rejecting her liver.  Treatments are currently being tried however she is still showing rejection.
Quote from Gina, Emma's mom:
"We have received word from Boston tonight that Emma's blood work has shown no improvement.  At this time they believe she has a steroid resistant rejection.  We will be going back to Boston tomorrow. They will be doing a biopsy and pic line placement Friday morning and then she will begin another type of treatment that we need to be inpatient for for 2 weeks. This treatment will make Emma very very sick!"
Gina will not be able to work until Emma is stabilized.  Our goal is for their needs to be met so that Gina and John can focus solely on advocating and caring for Emma.
Current and projected needs for the family:
*Prayer
*Financial assistance for hotel stays in Boston, meals, gas
*Finances to offset medical expenses
